Domainish is a domain portfolio management script. You manage your domains, categories, TLDs and registars in the admin panel and the user visiting your domain portfolio can browse through domains, choosing sorting options and even looking at the whois information (also available inside the admin panel). This script is useful for those with a lot of domains that need to keep track of them. Domainish requires PHP and a MySQL database.

Features

  • Browse domains by TLD, status (for sale, not for sale), registrar, and name (by default). Also sorts by individual TLDs and registrars which are stored in arrays in the config.php file.
  • Add, edit, and delete domains in admin panel.
  • Ability to filter and sort domains
  • User-friendly error messages
  • Separate CSS for admin panel and front-end (so the admin panel can retain its style while you customize the front-end to your liking)
  • Categories (previously called purposes), registrars and TLDs are now database-driven features versus manual input

Planned Features

Possible version number including each feature is in parentheses.

  • Allow decimals for domain prices versus current system allowing only whole numbers (2.1)

Installation

  • Create a database and attach a username and password to it. If you do not know how, see this tutorial.
  • Open config.php in a plain text editor and edit the values. (Instructions are included within the file.)
  • Upload all of the files to your web server.
  • Run the install.php file.
  • When all steps are complete, delete the install.php file. You're done and ready to manage your domains!

Upgrading

At this time you can only upgrade from 1.1.1. Otherwise, you will have to do a fresh install.

Upgrading from 1.1.1 to 2.0

  • Edit the new config.php file with your database and admin panel login details
  • Upload and overwrite old Domainish files with 2.0 files
  • Go to yourdomain.com/domainish/upgrade.php (replacing yourdomain.com/domainish with wherever you installed the script to)
  • If you encountered ANY errors during the upgrade contact me right away.
  • DELETE upgrade.php when prompted to do so
